Everything is easier when you have the right tools. This is true in construction, automotive, and math. Math is a tool, there's nothing frightening or scary about it. Learning Math is all about knowing when and why you should use a particular math tool or procedure to accomplish the task.
Math is all around us and is something that we should appreciate. Just yesterday I completed a project that took me 18 years to complete. I rebuilt a 1946 Jeep from the ground up. I pieced together 3 vehicles, replaced the pieces that were in bad shape, rewired it, rebuilt the transmission, and put custom vinyl seats. I took it out yesterday for a test run with my daughters and everything worked!
I wouldn't have been able to accomplish all of this without math and physics. I used everything I knew, asked questions, and applied the logic I'd acquired with my study of mathematics to recreate a piece of history!
So look at math as a tool, not something to be dreaded. When you start looking, you'll be amazed at what you can accomplish and where you'll find it.
Good luck to you!
